Hey guys...just bought a SD-R and while installing a trickle charger lead I found a broken wire on a 75A fuse holder from the positive battery terminal. What does this go to? Thanks.

Was there a 75A fuse in the slot or does the slot actually say its meant for a 75A fuse? 75 amps is a lot of juice. My wild guess would that it'd be going to a transformer. Check the wires from your rectifier and see if any are dead-ended.

Thanks guys...

Ordered a new battery for it just so I know what is what, and will trace wire as best as possible when installing new battery. I found the PCIII under the seat, so who knows what magic is hidden elsewhere!! lol

Since finding this fuse holder, I've searched the wiring diagrams for it to no avail...it is an inline sealed holder. Will post a picture later.

Gents...I do believe you are all right, must be a 7.5. My old eyes sometimes miss the small things like the (.) between the 7 & 5. Wiring/holder are not large enough for a 75A Maxi Fuse. My mistake, I'll take the hit...guess with the excitement of getting the bike home, finding a broken ring connector off the positive post and the dimmer than needed lighting...connected to charger and within a couple hours the full charge lights were on...bike fired right up. Did order a new battery so I know what is what, as previous owner said he had not replaced it...could be original.

Thanks for the suggestions, pokes and jabs...I'm not that thin skinned!!

Okay Okay...it was a 7.5A fuse/holder and it was for an already installed trickle charger pigtail mounted on the right side of the bike. Now I have two points to connect for a recharge...if one is good, two has gotta be better/faster!
