990 quickshifter availability

Hi all

Can someone recommend quickshifter for 990? I have Dynojet at the moment, but looking to remove PC3 soon and want to replace qs for different one working independently, like HM plus for example.
Don't want to buy HM (I had two in the past on different bikes - both failed and needed expensive repair). Translogic doesn't seems to make one for SD anymore (I did contact uk dealer, but they never call me back... kind of poor customer service I would say). Is there anything else on the market worth to buy?

Or maybe someone have translogic for sale?

Anyone know if HM's products available for the SuperDuke (990) - now work?

http://hmquickshifter.com/product-categ ... models=100

I have a Bazzaz QS4 on another bike, and it works well (N/A for a 990). I have theirs, as I prefer ignition cut (versus fuel cut), and as I understand it, HM does the same.

Seems DynoJet has recently taken their quickshifter products a bit further: http://www.powercommander.com/powercomm ... ifter.aspx

Apparently now the new stand-alone units available ...

I did learn something today (from DynoJet directly - please consult your tuner/vendor for verification on your application): If you have a PCV on your 990 (18-002), apparently all you need is to purchase a sensor (shift rod NOT included), AND you can choose either ignition cut OR fuel cut from the PCV setup software!

I was advised that one should use the "Pressure" type sensor (when the bike has a shift rod), also noted here:

http://www.powercommander.com/powercomm ... ifter.aspx

I was told that you have to allow ~60mm on the shift rod for the sensor, and they offer a nice range of rods:

Thanks guys! We getting somewhere Reb, do you have Cordona qs on your bike? I wish to hear some feedback about how it works.

Also will try call number mentioned above and ask for translogic availability.

Just a thought - if you look at new version of dynojet quickshifter (4-126) and then at translogic quickshifter photos and available options - both looks exactly the same... The box, the name (intellishift), sensor, quickset adjuster...

Anyway - it looks like Dynojet product is not available in UK at the moment and also it is impossible to buy it on Dynojet US website.

Well, some of them obviously are (HM -> Annitori ie.), but didn't expected that Translogic may be exactly same product as Dynojet

I have good feeling about Cordona though, I'm close to buy a kit.

Guys, unfortunately I'm having issues with Cordona QS :/ For some reason engine misfires when I get it up to 7-8k rpm, which makes bike unrideable.
Cordona PQ8 has digital display what shows RPMs when engine running. I observed, that up to 7-8k RPM is showing right values, but above it nearly doubles the actual RPMs, shift light flashing (as I set it to 10k RPM and because unit is reading wrong RPM values it affects shift light as well) and engine misfires. I tried all possible settings with no luck, so contacted Cordona directly. Must say they support is good so far, they supplied spare PQ8 unit, but swapping them did not fixed the issue.
It shifting lovely up to 7k rpm, but to ride the bike properly I have to disconnect harness of the coils completely.

Now I'm about to move positive supply and ground to different locations and also suggested by Cordona - short the harness as much as possible just in case long wires causes current drops and induces misfires to the coils because both or one of them may be close to their max/min tolerances.

I believe this is unusual situation, as someone here have Cordona running fine on his SD, but always worth to ask if you chaps have some ideas what the hell is wrong with mine :/
Just to mention my bike is SDR 08 with Beru coils.

Have no experience but '08 SDR has three wire Beru coil packs - photos above show only two wire connectors ie as per/to suit SD and not SDR?

I've had the HM strain-guage quick-shifter that goes direct to coils for the last five years and it has been faultless through rain and shine, tracks and road.

so I moved positive and ground to different locations, but even before I was quite confident about these two, as I took ground connection from the same place on the chassis where engine starter is connected to and positive from accessory supply. I also shortened harness as much as possible, it can't be any shorter than it is now. All connections properly soldered and isolated with heat shrink sleeves - I'm 100% sure that these connections are made right.
However that didn't help either...

I was riding today morning like a maniac between two junctions on motorway, stopping frequently and trying differemt things, BUT I strongly believe that I managed to nail the problem and that would be - PQ8 unit exposed to vibrations. I have unit fitted under the seat, some foam tape attached on side of it and cable ties holding it to the plastic compartment, where usually tools are located. This is how it looks like on my bike: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-RL8O ... C03372.JPG
Foam tape is not visible, but is there, so unit is not fitted just against the plastic, but have foam in between. Picture done before I shortened harness, now that main bit is shorter also, just to reach the unit.

So I cut cable ties, wrapped unit with bubble wrap and go for another ride. And this time I couldn't fault it! Bike is going smooth up to the rev limiter, no misfiring anymore. HOWEVER when stand still, it misfiring now just above 10k RPM (not hitting 10.5k rev limiter yet), but when ridden on the road it goes right to the end to 10.5k RPM and then cutting off as supposed to.
Now the question is - is this unit itself so badly non resistant to vibrations or loose connection on the main harness plug? I had closer look at it but looks fine from outside.
I sent above to Cordona, will see what they come back with.

I don't know if this will help but what kind of battery do you use MrK? I have a Nemesis Traction Control system on my 990 that has an amazing built in QS.Some guys were having problems with the system doing weird things which effected QS operation and all the guys who had problems were running Lithium light weight battery's.Some solved the problem by connecting the earth of the system direct to battery but most just changed back to the standard battery which solved the problem.Apart from the fab TC which is so adjustable and has a download tyre library so you can run any tyre size, profile etc,the QS has three adjustments. The ramp into the cut,the cut itself and the ramp out of the cut.It is explained a lot better on there website(competition systems.com).Cheers

Hi mate,
I have the same QS on my SD 05
From the beginning I had a problem with reading RPM and shifting.
my problem was: QS setup you must add 4 cylinder (engine have 1 crankshaft) - 2cyl. setup not work.. I dont know why, but not work
