Yup, I did it. I asked a question regarding the sensitive grey art of suspension. I've done reading and researching, now I'm looking for advice from folks who have done it. Should I buy a 990r shock, or resprung and re valve mine?

Now some background. I bought my 08 superduke second hand from a guy who weighs 275lbs and had that bike set up for him. Stiffer springs and dampening. The rear spring is elka 19.6. I weigh 200 soaking wet in full gear. I sent the forks out to trackside suspension who sprung it with 1.0 racetech springs and valved it for me. Great improvement but still too stiff. I plan on buying a set of .95 springs which will allow me to run either .975 or .95.

My question is should I buy a used 990 r shock which looks to be sprung for me, or send out my shock to be resprung and valved.

A used sdr shock is around 200-300 where re-valving and springing is 500 or so.

What are your thoughts. I ride aggressive on the street and trackdays. I generally prefer a higher stiffer rear when compared to the front. My bike is stock except for a full akra system and rizoma ma10 bars.
