this has prob been covered, could not find in my search

Right, i removed air box and air filter completely, put pods on, (i toped a little oil up, so had to take R panel off) this led me to think that with out the side panels a lot more air is going to the pods (induction) and also looked to me that the rad etc would be cooler. The bike was dynode with no air filter, so i know its not going to run to lean.

With panels off am I doing any harm ? (I can't see that I am) but greater brains are on here than I have

many thanks guys

It sounds like it should be fine. As long as the throttle bodies are protected by the filter, no harm. If there is anyway for air to pass into the engine unfiltered, that's where problems can arise. But I'm new to KTM so there could be something I don't know

Stalkers bike ran without any panels on it for all of the endurance races last year - he was too idle to put them on and liked the raised eyebrows that it caused when half a superduke overtook zx10's and the like……. looks shit though IMO

cheers guy's, agree, it does nothing for its looks, think i will have a look at panels and see if there's room to drill vent holes in them or not, as with thm on there seems no room for air to pass or very minimal,

thanks again

Sure there's someone over the other side of the pond who runs without them, but can't remember who (think they're in Canada?).

Didn't viking drill holes in the black infill panels?
