cut a small triangle out of the inner panel on both sides, the panel shape looks to guide the air into the gaps and thus into the filter area, took it out today appears to have made a significant difference, seems a little more responsive, deep burbles from cans (ducati like without the rattle). can cruise at 2000 rpm and i think the mpg has gone up. very pleased. (the bike was maped with no air filter originally ) no air box and pods instead
