hi guys does any one know if the air sensor in the air cleaner box allso reads the air temp for the gauge , mines stays on 0 and never moves its a 08 model cheers bazz

It should be zip-tied to one of the cables. Follow the wire to make sure it hasn't come loose.
If you have a multimeter, just measure resistance while holding the sensor between your fingers. The value should change.
If it's broken, just get a cheap 10K thermistor from ebay and re-use the plug.

allright got it. btw, what does this sensor do apart from checking the surrounding air temp? anything to do with the ECU calculation?

It is only needed to show the temperature on the gauges.
