Alarm (but not immobiliser) needed

I need a movement alarm - ideally wired-in and with sensitivity control and remote - for my Ducati - which already has an immobiliser.

Not bothered about Thatcham, or insurance stuff, just want something quality, reliable and noisy, that will alert me to tampering, etc. (The bike was vandalised a couple of weeks ago ... )

Any views or experiences, suppliers, prices, etc?

Thanks...

Anyone tried the Datatool Demon?

I had a datatool on my old bike and nothing but problems with it. It completely died just as the warrantee ran out, and the dealer diagnosed "the board is fried, they tend to do that". Needless to say, I'll never get a datatool again.

To be honest, I don't like alarms very much. I reckon an alarmed disk lock does as much (or little) to disturb potential crooks, and my Xena has been pretty reliable for a couple of years, then died, so I got a cheap one of ebay.
If you really want an alarm, but not worried about Tatcham approval, it may be worth looking at these: http://www.motorbikealarm.co.uk
I've heard from a few people that they're decent and that the quality match the big names, and for the price, you can't really go wrong.
