Curious if anyone here has already installed the arrow mid-pipe on their 1290 yet? I have ordered one and am hoping it will be a bit toned down compared to the bodis mid-pipe. The arrow mid-pipe has the "fat" middle section that I hope was put there to help lower the sound a bit.

Very curious about this also. Not about the sound but rather dyno numbers.

Johnny, was the Bodis too loud? Did you run a DB killer with the exhaust?
Also keen to see the dyno shakdown, i've seen about 4 completely different designs already:
- Bodis
- Arrow
- Simple straight pipes
- Resonator on the full akra system

Looks like about 1.5hp considering the slip-on only added 1 hp according to this. I weighed the catalytic converter and it was slightly over 10 pounds. So 40% will be a 4 pound weight savings.
Arrow’s exhausts for KTM SuperDuke 1290 have just been released: for the “super” SuperDuke X-Kone and Race-Tech silencers are ready, street legal with removable baffle, to be fitted on KTM OE pipes or with Arrow’s “de-kat” mid-pipe (this can be also used in combination with KTM OE silencer). These systems give interesting performance: fitting only the silencer we measured 155hp on the wheel, with the “half” kit we measured 156.5hp (OE system stopped to 154hp), torque is really better at low and mid-range. Weight reduction is about 40%, depending on the versions installed.

I'm going to be running the stock muffler.

Oh two things. First I only heard the bodis mid pipe on a video. Second, I live in a condo complex with mostly elderly people, so I don't want to cause friction. I am an asshole but not one of those "f" the neighbors assholes.

There's 2 version of mid pipe, decat and catalyst. Jonny, which one you have? Sound clip will be interesting.

Its probably a good choice jonnyrotten and will be interested in hearing how it works out for you. One month ago I contacted the factory and as well 2 different dealers but lack of any solid information at the time pushed me into ordering the Bodis.
Here is a picture Arrow sent me of the decat pipe

Are there db-killers with the bodis?

I think the best solution is keep the oem system and just remove the db killer from the oem muffler,or buy the full akrapovic system, only for racing...
