Attaching a KTM tank bag.

Hello all,

I bought a 2nd hand tank bag - original KTM hard parts.

It straps around the frame at the front with no issues, but at the other end where the base comes down near the seat, I can't see where the strap should go.

I've tried looping it around the hinged area of the tank but that means it comes up short and won't attach at the other side. Looping through one of the hinges works but I then end up with a wonky/slipping base!

Does anyone have photos of how theirs is attached?

Cheers!

I guess you are talking about a 990?

So the secret is to tie the back first, I know, I know it's not easy, but doable if the front is NOT attached.

Once the back is done, the front is easy to adjust.

Try to get the back done, and fit the strap between the tank and the frame. Again, not the easiest thing to do. Once you are done and you re-install the seat, you'll want to hide the plastic buckle under the seat, so you'll have to do and re-do straps until satisfied with the fit an appearance.

It's a KTM thing.

Hi there,

Just bought a 2nd hand one too. Did you finally manage to install it properly? Some pic's would come in handy because I haven't got a manual with it...
A manual would be even easier.

Thx!

Grts from Belgium.

I installed it once, then took it off and never used it!

Everything is a bit tight but follow what Sarasota Steve said in this thread and you'll get it!
