Bike fell off side side stand......

Got home from a long day at work today. Been raining heavily all day, traffic home is a bitch, finally get home tired and wet. I walk into the kitchen where the window overlooks where I park my bike. I look down and my baby is lying on her side.

Seems the last time I parked it (in the dark) I had put the kick stand down right on the edge of the concrete I normally put it on. During the day the rain has softened the dirt so much it washed out a little under the concrete and it has tilted ever so slightly , enough to put the kickstand into the mud and down she went.

had the bike cover on and a disc lock

Seems the only damage was a loosened mirror and two tiny scratches on the left tank fairing

Seems the bike cover protected it from the worst of it. it landed on soft grass and mud too.

Because my back yard is on a slight slope the bike was lying on its side on a slightly wheel up angle, say 5 -10 degrees past horizontal.

As far as I know the bike could have been on its side all day

When I picked her up the ground stank of fuel. The tank was 3/4 full so I assumed some slopped out of a breather or something

The oil sight tube was bone try, I assume because of the weird angle.

My question is, should I check certain things before I attempt to kick her over.

Could oil have dribbled up into the throttle bodies/filter or something

I am pretty sure bikes don't like to be essentially upside down for several hours at a time.

Just thought I would ask. Not sure what KTMs do when gravity is reversed for long periods
Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated

I have not had mine upside down for any extended period but experience with other bikes sugests that all will be well.

I bet it fires up and rides like nothing has happened.

Good luck.

No need to worry about oil getting anywhere in the throttle bodies or so, the oil lives in the tank as it is a dry sump.
Have a quick look round the bike for the obvious stuff like fuel all over it, oil level and acid smell from the battery (wash this off asap) and crank it up no worries.
