yesterday i was cleaning the front left brake caliper and i was pumping the lever in an attempt to pop it out more. but only 1 of the piston is protruding out. so i open the front brake fluid reservoir in order to release the preassure and push in that protruding piston. and then suddenly the other piston just 'Pop' out and brake fluid gushes out..damn..i'm fooked . just wondering is there any damage to that brake caliper piston now that i've 'Pop' it or should i just bleed the whole system with new brake fluid and everything is just fine..

no damages, they're removable items.

Get it back in, bleed, ride.

In the idea world you may as well change the seals too, but little point just doing 1 of them....so just lob it back in and go for it.

next question..what brake fluid do you recommend? i've bought myself Caltext DOT 4 brake fluid. I live in a tropical country that and i dont track the bike so DOT5.1 would be overkill. DOT 4 sound good enough for you guys?

i've did the brake bleed last night..two hours into it the lever still doesnt feel as stiff as the original feel. i didnt notice any bubble exiting the clear tubing on both the caliper bleed valve anymore. any tips that i should follow?

and someone please guide me on how to bleed the MC..is it the same step as bleeding from the caliper?
1. attached clear tiub to the bleed valve on the MC
2. pump lever a few time
3. press the lever in and open the MC bleed valve
4. close MC bleed valve then release lever and repeat steps

am i correct on that?

went back home and did the MC valve bleed..and settle! an almighty amount of air gushes out from the MC bleed nipple on just first bleed attempt..the next subsequent pump manage to unload more tiny bubble. now the lever feel stiff and responsive..5min job done. i've even manage to use the spare time to open the fuel tank, air box, clean air filter, remove secondary butterflies..and now the bike is sweat!

If you think there is more air to bleed then I have a suggestion. Before you go to bed unscrew the MC cap or caps[brake or clutch] and hold the handles as close to the grips as you can with a plastic tie down[hang a brick of your back brake lever or what ever] and let the air slowly rise to the surface while you sleep.Works for me.Cheers
