I have posted before about an irritating buzz between 3 and 4000rpm.
Its gotten so bad it sounds like my ex wife, horrible and irritating.
Mines a 2008 17,000km, motobox, Leovince, sas plates, running akro.
I figure I'll have a looksy this weekend. Well, it was the shaft on the secondary throttle from the servo motor, almost completely seized. What was happenning is at that point in rotation on the shaft it obviously was getting stuck and the servo was fighting it. Can't be certain but more than likely the action was not smooth but herky jerky, not so good for smooth throttle applications. This would have failed soon. The shaft looked fine??? Just extremely tight, it was difficult for me to move it by hand.
So what the heck, I'm here, may as well hual the crap out. Blocked the holes up, remounted the servo which is now driving nothing and reloaded James smoothened akro with secondaries shut off.
Now I feel like TUrd NUMBER ONE. Why did I not do this before. It feels like a few hp down in the mid, a few more up top but there is zero FI snatchiness. Might be no HP loss as it just feels real smooth now and throttle off doesn't pitch you over the bars.
Absolutely a bit rich..
So?? any of you chaps have a map (HEX) for a 2008, no flys, motobox and Leovince slip ons???
Bear in mind I went to two different dealers about this noise, both said its normal!!!WTF!! and both said my bike runs fine????
So if you have a buzziness this is another thing to check out.

Have a look through here......

that buzzing must be loud if you can here it above Motorhooligan filter (Tinnitus I expect )
It does run richer without flies.....there is no loss ...but you will gain a bit more with correct map

KTM666,
I wear earplugs and the buzzing was nasty, so much so I actually thought about getting rid of the bike. Lucky me to find the cause.
As you are way more experienced, what would you recommend for my bike?
and.
If I choose a program can I change the FL to what is running now, essentially closed loop on idle?

Buzzing was coming from servo driving the second set of throttle plates.

virtually the same motor (slightly softer cams in 2007 onwards)..so if anything a softer tune so erring on the side of caution
