Doing a service on my RC8,I set out to check my valve clearances,a first for me,when I lifted the rocker cover I discovered the cam lobes to be a little discoloured, they still feel glass smooth and the clearances were within tolerance.
Is this a cause for concern? I have ran the bike right through winter, lots of sub zero starting and the oil was truly ruined when I changed it, I have had pisses with greater viscosity, have I ruined it?

Not in warranty,it's an 08 model, I bought it second hand with 2000 miles on it,I've put another 10500 miles on it in just over 12 months, changed the oil with good quality fully synthetic at recommended intervals, the lobes feel fine, smooth as glass, just wasn't expecting the discolouration,I guess,as has been said,I can only run it and see what happens.
