I have a recently purchased used 2007 SD. Love it.
Tonight I wanted to go for a ride and the battery was near dead and the motor wouldn't start.
The bike had sat for only a few weeks...any ideas?
I then tried to roll start it. Bizarrely, when in 1st gear, with the clutch pulled
all the way in, there was very significant drag...the bike wouldn't even roll down hill..
Never had a bike do that. Any ideas?
In neutral the bike rolled fine...in gear with the clutch in...it was like pushing the bike with the brake on...
Thanks!

Suggestions:
When sitting, keep the RED run toggle switch in the non running/off mode.
KTM's may have a high parasitic drain on the battery.
First gear has a habit of rolling over itself, is the only way I can describe it. So when I roll into a stop light, I always put it into neutral.
Before when rolling into a stop light in first gear, I couldn't get it out of gear and into neutral. Had to kill the bike, via "red" switch and shift to neutral before restarting.
Batteries get killed in the summer heat and then they die in the winter/spring with it's more demanding starting draw.
Just get a new one and a smart charger and forget about it.
I also have a Anti-gravity Micro Start XP1 power pack for just the these occasions. It now comes with a $25 additional cost harness you can mount to the KTM's battery terminals and run the harness to the bottom of the battery box (mounted this end lead to the bottom of box with a 3M Duo lock strip) for easy access when jump starting bike with the anti-gravity power pack directly, without having remove all the body work and open the box for direct access to the battery via the provided alligator clamps. No need to bump start anymore. Can also start any V8 car or truck with this hand held battery pack.

I don't want to start a new thread but I'm having a similar problem. My clutch feels like it's not releasing when I pull the lever all the way in. At a stop it feels like the bike is pulling forward still and nutral is fairly hard to hit. I really don't want to pull a clutch, but bleeding doesn't seem to help. Also, the clutch is either full release or full grab. I have no play in the lever. If I let it out even a few mm it grabs full out. Is that normal?
