Hi fellas,
Just down the street ATM so no pics for a couple of hours but I pulled my water pump off for a rebuild and I noticed that none of the indents on the clutch plates are lined up... And also the last clutch plate is inbetween the teeth on the legs of the basket and not inbetween the legs themselves as the others are...
I'm not sure how my clutch is even working let alone if this is right.
I've never seen this before... The only thing that I can think of is that it distributes the force on the teeth a little more evenly and stops it from snapping it off...
Long shot I know...

OK...
Sorry guys I was panicking as I had just got home and was pulling apart my bike for a standard water pump upgrade, saw the missaligned plates, and had to do Chrissie shopping.
So I thought I'd send a feeler out there while doing my shopping...*(Danny at TriValley, MrZ32...)
I came home and read the service manual (as I should have Bash) and it said all was right except for the indents not lining up (for ease of removal)
So I did nothing and put it back together. It does make me wonder at the CJ Designs one with the beefed up teeth though as the last plate wont fit in there, his must be aligned...
There must be a good reason for this. Do you think that it would stop that much noise SDNerd?
Sorry again guys for posting before looking
