I'm sure many of you guys have read about these folks. And while no map or tuning black box is a "cure all" that also uncorks 20% extra horsepower; on some model bikes, their mapping certainly has proven worth the cost to a lot of folks.
So now, we apparently have yet another option for some models/years. I wrote them, with a list of the usual questions - and let's see what they come back with.

Or will you pretend that tuning is way more complicated than using your computer.
They have just got a distributed in Oz and they have (hacked) Jap ECU's available...
Just send it and we'll do the complicated and expensive remap for you...
They can jam it

1. TuneEcu does not show all possibilities the ECU must have, for example acceleration enrichment or target Lambda values
2. You have four mappings inside the ECU, the two front & rear F mappings which are responsibly for tps >30%
and the L mappings which are using the two map sensors and are based on preassure
So what nobody knows, or the ones who know are not telling it to us, is how the L and F maps work together, is each a single map, and the ECU
just moves based on TPS values slowly from L to the F map, or do the values somehow sum up and build together the complete picture ?
Also if you import a Powercommander map with TuneEcu only the F map is changed not the L map. But the important map which controls
the small throttle openings is the combination between the L and F map.
Thats why a Powercommander setup will give nicer results than a TuneEcu upload, not from a overall power delivery
but the bike will ride nicer and smoother. The Powercommander will also affect small throttle openings.

Tool companies make and sell tools to guys who want to use them...
That doesn't kill the mechanical busines.
This is just a tool and they want to make it sound like it is elite and a "black art"
TuneECU is heading down the right path. ECUunleashed is just another Dealer like scam.
Don't give me a re-flashed ECU, give me the ability to re-flash my own...

This resets the adaptive base values of the ECU. It is very important that the engine is stone cold. One or two hours after riding is not enough! Do this after the bike has been off for a full night or day. Start the engine and let it idle for 15 minutes without touching anything. After 15 minutes, switch the engine off with the ignition key. Done. During this procedure you won't see or hear anything happening besides the idling and (probably) the fan. Don't worry, the reset is done.
