Hi Guys some of you must have come across this before so hope someone can help.
I have a 2011, 990 Superduke R that comes with a factory fitted steering damper,
under hard acceleration the damper is not as effective as it could be and the bike
weaves all over the road causing me to back it off, I understand it is for road use
only. I have found on the net that people with Ohlins dampers can get them up
graded to race spec for very little cost.
Does anyone know if this is available for our WP steering Dampers?

I used to own a 990 not R and it never weaved under hard acceleration so you must have some other problem.
If you get any head shake when hitting bumps on hard acceleration that is sort of normal but it should settle
Quickly and not continue once past the bumps.
You could have to much rebound on the front forks also try backing it off take the bike for a spin and see what happens.
My old R1 used to love shacking its head but I would just keep the throttle pinned and it would stop.
Have you set your sag?

I forgot to mention to check steering head bearing.

It may also help to adjust the forks up or down a bit
