Right o

I brought my bike back in January and have always maintained about 70-80 miles before tank light comes on.. even after a month later i fitted my akra slip on.

But from the day i done a full service im getting rubbish fuel economy, the last time it managed 40mile before fill up and to today i came on with 38.. ok i have done mainly to and from work only 3/4 miles each way/everyday. but always let bike warm up to the forth temp bar comes on... (then let it rip)

I have read on the similar threads that people suggest a remap. But would'nt the economy be affected after the akras being fitted? and not after a service?

my filter was black when i changed it.
my plug where a brown/black colour.. maybe a tad rich!
ive looked for fuel leaks and nothing!!

Is a well documented fact that the 990's run rich as...
Smell your clothes after a ride!
Even on the standard map the dyno guy had to take fuel out everywhere but a few places to make it run proper. The akra map is just madness, designed by the oil companies.
Get a proper map done or try a suitable map from the site.

Like guy said the 990s run rich its best to get a proper tune.
Also try some fuel injector cleaner and take the bike for a good fang in the hills.

I thought about having a map.

But why the sudden change in fuel consumption?

I would understand if it changed after the exhaust or having a air box mod etc.

But can't understand why the sudden change after a service. have I done something wrong maybe?

Are you running with O2 sensors on or off?

O2 block off and removed.

Sas removed

Standard air box with new filter. The old one was black!

No other engine mods accept the akrapovic slip on.

I know the previous owner had some yoshimura slip on but removed them as he said was too loud.
Not sure what map the bike currently has. But I am booked in with Laguna next week to check this out! (Sorry stupid Luke I have no other means to do it )

But all of these mods (other than akra ) have alway been on the bike from before my ownership. I've only encountered this issue from 2/3weeks ago when I did my service.

Oh I did change plugs to the expensive ones. (Can't think what they are called right now)

Don't wholly understand why but my fuel consumption significantly drops when the weather turns warm (nothing to do with more spirited riding), sorted by turning O2 sensors back on for the summer.

Defiantly not going to be able to put the o2 sensor back on as its all been removed..

Maybe something to do with replacing the filter and the bike being able to breath better and the fuelling being affected.. but i think the only thing i can do it let Laguna have a look to see if a possible map on the ECU.

unless someone close able to help me out for beer tokens

Went to see no.47 today and he very kindly hooked the bike up to tuneEcu. (Thank you)
Other than some old fl codes nothing else was noticed wrong with the bike.

But filled bike up before my trip and got home checked the trip and it was on 60 (very strange)

Must have a strong right wrist
