Well, I wish i had a better intro and hope to in the future... In the meantime, I had a pretty bummer experience.
Was out in the nice weather today, and had just refilled after the low fuel light came on. About 10 minutes after refueling it hesitated at low throttle and then stalled at a light. Restarted and ran but only briefly... just enough time to get to an open parking lot. Seemed like a a classic running out of fuel scenario, though, I've never run out in the Super Duke I'm quite familiar with the sensation :rolls eyes:.
Diagnosis I was able to do on site off the top of my head:
-No FI light or any other trouble lights on the clocks.
-Turned over would fire then die. If I cracked the throttle it might rev up a few thousand then die.
-Checked all the fuses. All intact.
-Oil level fine.
-Kill switch not engaged.
-Tank was full of gasoline and not diesel. (Had a brief moment when I panicked about a possible mixup, but checked, haha)
I think the fuel pump was operating as normal, as there was no FI light and sounded normal. Are fuel pumps common on these? Wondering if I clogged the fuel filter somehow by running it to the low fuel light? I see the fuel pump runs ~$390. Eesh.
In the end I had it towed to the KTM dealer.
Backstory: Bought the bike 1 week ago and have put ~800 miles on it since. Not a hiccup in that time period. Completely stock except Akra Evolutions.
Any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

Most likely the side stand switch or the tip over switch.
Both well documented in this forum.

QR fuel line connector not fully engaged - faulty tip over or side stand switch would probably mean the engine wouldn't run at all.

Side stand only tends to be a problem when you put it in gear. Tip over sometimes let's the bike start and then cuts after a few seconds or won't let the bike start at all.

Yep, I stand corrected - faulty tip over does sometimes let the engine start and run briefly.

Interesting and thank you. I found the sidestand bypass valve on KTM Twins and it's backordered for a month or so.
First call from the dealership confirms the battery the OP put in was a POS. Waiting on battery delivery for further diagnosis.

Well, heard back from the dealer today. They're saying the fuel injectors were "pretty bad" which I take it means they were gummed up. I guess not too surprising as it only covered 3k miles in the first 6 years of its life.
Should be picking up tomorrow as its quite nasty out here with the weather, currently.
On this dealer trip they rang me for:
New battery
Akra remap
2 new keys
Fuel injectors cleaned or replaced, unsure at the moment which, exactly. I couldn't even find fuel injectors on the microfiche diagrams...
I'm guessing this will run me 5 bills easy. Hmmmm, and now I remember why I never take stuff to the dealer. As long as its running tip top ill be happy! Will report back on condition.
