So there I am riding home after our usual weekend ride. I'm just cruising down the freeway at about 70mph when all of a sudden my gauge cluster decides to reset itself. It went through the full self check just like when you kick the ignition on. There was no stutter in the bike or any other issues and it just kept right on going. I was only 10 minutes from home and a couple times the speed would show 81mph for a couple seconds even though I was still going the same 70ish mph. when I got home I shut it off then started it back up just to see if the battery was dead and all was good. I plugged the battery tender in and it went to storage mode within a few minutes. Any ideas what would cause my gauge cluster to go haywire. Thanks.

Sounds a bit unrelated I know but I would be 80-90% sure its your regulator/rectifier. Possible a bad connection from it to the battery or its just failing. Pretty soon expect it to start blowing headlight bulbs too

Actually I had a headlight bulb go out a month or two back. I guess I will call the dealer and take it in. I beieve its still inder warranty so hopefully they will replace the rectifier at no cost to me.
