I am wondering what some have done to raise the handlebars. the lower clamp is attached to the headlight assembly making it difficult to fit a normal riser. I tried a universal rizomo riser and no go. I want to raise the bar about 12 mm more or less. also I want the bars a little closer to me. could use a little more length as well.
does anyone know what the handlebar specs are? I have tried to find out and for the life of me I have come up empty. renthal, protaper, rizoma and more. nothing matches. did you ever try to measure the bend or sweep or height ? can only guess.
I will try a gilles gto handlebar which seems to be about right. also black color I am happy about that. trying to get one of these is like pulling a rabbit from a hat. next option I found is the ktm 60302001000. that is for the 1190 adventure. this is what they used on the prototype 1290r. maybe they didn't have a clue either. looks good though!
why does ktm make the bike for only one size person? can only adjust the bar front to back 10 mm? and why make the lower clamp like that? I know cheaper by $5.00. I am on my 3rd seat and 2nd rearset to get the bike to be comfortable. just need the handlebars!!!

I fitted the Rizoma MA005B fatbars and am really happy with them.

Very similar to standard though but just wanted to go black

I would steer clear of risers & do as Markey has done & simply buy some taller bars, My choice would be either LSL carbon bars or Driven Racing carbon bars

LSL

Driven

Plenty of specs & info can be found to get bars with the correct rise etc

You can get bar risers from China off ebay for around $20. They will add height, but not bring the bars back. Out of curiosity, what 3 seats have you tried, and what are your opinions on each?

And the clamp is the wrong way round!
