the Shorai Battery works well. Fitted mine about a year ago. As I've said in another thread, I recently got my bike out of hibernation. It had spent 5 months in the back of a van with low DAYTIME temps of -16c . At first it turned over rather slow, gave it a minutes rest and it turned over faster and fired up.
Pretty good IMO but pretty pricey at £150 ish

Mine didn't btw.

I have the Shorai Battery as well. I ride all year round. The battery works GREAT but there is some thing you should know about all lithium batteries. Basically they suck in the cold. Any temperature below 10C/50F and the battery has trouble starting a big V-Twin like our bikes without first warming-up the battery first. The way you warm-up the battery is by turning-on the bike with the headlight on but not start it for a least 1-3 minutes depending how cold it is outside. Yes, I know that sounds crazy and it is for a normal battery but these lithium battery are different. Above 10C/50F and the battery kicks-ass with zero issues for power to start the bike.

I've had no problems myself but from what I've heard it is important to look after them.
Using the right charger and never allowing them to complete discharge is important I understand.
I've heard of loads of people having issues but mostly it looks like due to incorrect charger or full discharge.

I've got a shorai.
Took out box. Fitted to bike. Not had any bother. Bike lay stripped for 5months over winter off season and fired up first turn.
Gets turned off after the last race and next time it's started is 4weeks later at the next round. Never had a problem.

Talked to a bud yesterday and he said there is a newer redesign on the " S" brand which keeps the cells from overcharging and making a better product.
