Has anybody fit one of these,
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200821362656? ... 1423.l2649

It says it lowers the rear by 25mm,would it then be just a case of dropping the yokes down the forks to suit.
Would this not alter the amount of ground clearance though ?

There's another thread or two on on this somewhere ... what I couldn't figure out is how this part would lower the bike ... All I can see that it would do is change the position of the spring on the shock (which does nothing to lower it).

If someone has implemented one of these, and can explain how it "lowers" the rear of the bike - please do! Frankly, without going to a shorter overall shock length (e.g. other WP shock bottom - there are several that could work, Nichols unit, etc.) , there's no simple way to lower the rear of the SD.

Assuming for the moment that this part actually does something to lower the bike ( ) - the SD already has some ground clearance issues when ridden aggressively, and Klinck's summary of issues well described in other threads should be carefully considered.

I take it you have problems with feet touching down?[/quote]

Yes i have no problems once on the bike and riding, its just abit awkward when manovering around and setting off.
Get the idea its just a matter of time before i drop it on loose gravel etc.I had a few close calls last year and dont want to push my luck.
Love this bike and want to keep for as long as but 5' 7" im abit on the short side LOL

You might be able to modify your seat to better your footing. Replace your stock foam with quality foam and use less of it. It also helps to narrow your seat up front to tip toe thru the slow stuff.
See if you can beg, borrow or rent some time on a trials bike. 4 hours on a trials bike will change your street riding forever.
It will teach you how to ride slow, which sounds like your weakness.
