Did someone here in the UK recently order a Mosfet (Shindengen?) replacement reg/rectifier?
I had a quick search but couldn't find anything definitive.
I think mine might be on its way out and am considering one of these.
Is it a straight fit - plug and play, or is there messing about with replacing connectors, soldering etc?
How much are they compared to OEM? Presumably needs to be ordered from abroad. Were there any import duties to pay?

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=26939&p=330627&hilit=MOSFET#p330627 - plug and play but you're left with one redundant two pin connector on the loom, blank off by cutting off respective connector from old reg/rec - can't remember if I had to pay import duties on the two I've bought but it's a bit of a lottery usually.

Thanks - as always, Steve.
I'm ruling other things out first.
Symptoms are on the occasional stall I get soft 32 dat message.
The indicators have started to blink fast, but not doing it when stationary.
It sounds a bit slow on turnover.
Could it just be in need of a new battery? Perhaps a loose battery terminal connection or something similar.
I need to get a voltmeter and check outputs.
I'm on my second reg/rec (although last one was replaced about 4 years ago) so hoping its not that
Any other suggestions....

Soft 32 Dat 101 thread has all/most possible causes - I'd recommend replacing both battery and reg/rec as both can bugger up the other.

Have spare (OE) reg/rec for you to borrow if you want to try before you buy.
