Oil light is most likey faulty oil pressure switch. This is usefully how it shows its on the way out.

Where is the noise coming from? Could it be a faulty clutch switch making the revs drop?

Is the noise there at all revs? Does it go away if you pull the clutch in?

dont know...i THINK that it doesnt have any effect on the noise... i have to ride it for a while to get it to start flickering and making that noise, but now im to scared to do that to not mess it up more =P

have just noticed that there is a bit more oil in engine then needed.. its about 1 cm over the MAX mark... could that be related? =/

It's a dry sump bike so it only draws from the tank what it needs. As long as there is room for it to return oil I can't see why over filling the tank would ever be a problem.

Your doing the right thing getting it checked. Hope it's nothing serious.

Water pump seals gone = coolant in the oil = low oil pressure = rattling rear cam chain.

Check coolant level, oil filters and water pump.
