Anyone know if there is an option to fit the power commander v ignition connectors to an '08 SDR? PCV is listed only for an '09 and up so i'm guessing the '09's have a different type of connector? Just installed one on my '08 and ran into this issue and I want my tuner to be able to adjust he ignition timing in real time on the dyno. Let me know if there is a way to fit this to an '08.

thanks!

You can do it in Tuneecu, that is why most of us here gone Tuneecu as you can do ignition also and it is free.
Not sure where the PCV ignition connectors would go on the SD. Can you post a picture of the connectors?
The only thing I can think of is in between the connector on the coil pack.

My PCV with ignition on my 2010 SMR uses the cank impulse sender & coils, the PCV splits the crank signal & each coil signal to adjust the timing.

I have fitted a pcv to my 07 sdr, same connectors as the 09 sdr, powercommander only lists the pc3 for 07 bikes but the pcv fits also.

I fitted a pcv to mine the 08-09 sdr has different coil sticks, than a standard sd had this problem with mine and nearly sent it back, I used shades ottos map as a base map then used the pcv to adjust the fueling so if I am right I should have ottos ignition map

Resurrecting an older thread, has anyone managed to get the PCV working with ignition on a post 2007 SDR?

I bought a PCV setup for my 2010 SDR and realised when I tried to install that the ignition coils have different connectors and numbers of pins. Strange because no one at Dynojet seem to realise there is an incompatibility, I confirmed the part number of the PCV unit to use with my bike with both Dynojet USA and my local rep, both said it would work fine!

Thanks for that, I found that thread, but it seems from reading that that there is no specific kit for the post 2008 SDR, that was one made up as a one off. This lines up with what I have been told by dynojet themselves.

I have had many long emails with Chris Kelly from dynojet's support, who recommended the setup I now have, and was surprised when it would not fit.
I have the 18-002 kit which is listed as being for all SD and SDR models from 2009 - 2011, but it clearly is not. I can probably make a patch harness to connect the PCV to the Ignition coils, but I can't find the correct connectors anywhere, they seem different to all other waterproof connectors I have seen.
I don't want to cut into my harness, I would like to be able to return it to stock easily, and it is only 3 months old, so I don't want to ruin my warranty just yet!
I am actually a bit pissed off that they are selling this kit as suitable for a bike that they obviously haven't even tested, and all it would require from their end would be a small patch harness included in the kit to make it compatible with all models

easternbeaver normally has the connectors.

The SD coil plug 2 pin is the 5th down I think.
Email him with a pic of what you need.

Here is a ktm spare part connector pdf: http://www.ktm-parts.com/pdf/TechBull/S ... ectors.pdf
Could one of the connectors be EO (000700000EO)?

Just heard back from the place I bought my PCV setup, they have confirmed that the 18-002 unit will not fit the SDR from 2008 onwards, and they have warned that rewiring it to suit will probably not work due to different triggers for the coils between the models.
Dynojet USA have said that they have no kit to suit the SDR at the moment, so I have to return the lot!

Yeah, I saw the thread about that, but I am in Australia, so there is not much local support here for dynojet stuff, other than sales. I don't want to hack my harness, and don't wont to cut up the PCV loom, especially as I was told the standard 18-002 programming may not be compatible with the coil trigger for the SDR.

I will stick to TuneECU for not, looking to get the bike dynoed locally instead, and will keep in touch with dynojet to see if they ever develop a kit that works for my bike.
