I'm having issues with changing gear on my sd, they are very clunky going up but less so going down,
I've cleaned the oil jet behind the front sproket which has improved things lots but not cured it,
It refuses to change up when at high revs in third gear, u have u allow the rev to drop right down before it changes,
I have read that the clutch booster gives problems do u think its this?

Had this problem on track but never on the road, 05-06 by chance?
Ended up switching to race shift which helped.

Clutchless upshifts?
preloading shifter a bit?
Does it need an oil change or was there a new oil manufacture introduced as of late?
Is the bike still under acceleration while attempting upshift?
Are there any false nuetrals that coincide with behaviour?
If these are clutchless upshift, My opinion is you need to change tecnique or oil. If they are from dissengagement of clutch you may need a bleed or slave rebuild.
I have only experiance tougher shifting when the oil becomes somewhat degraded.

I don't upshift with the clutch, and damn if it ain't smoother than when using the clutch. Its as if KTM designed the damn transmission that way. Otherwise, its one clunkyfucker.
That fooking oil jet - what an ill-conceived idea that was ... I drilled that little fooker to 0.016" Dia (or maybe it was 0.019" - don't have those notes immediately in front of me), seemed to not only help with shifting, but its as if the clutch also quieter and that the engine overall is quieter. It's as if overall oiling is somewhat improved (?).
Kids, not advocating that everyone run home and do this - at your own risk.

It's a06 sd yes, are these more prone to it than the later ones?
It will do clutch less changes but really have to get the revs spot on, the oil was changed about 300 miles ago by myself I'm unsure what oil it was running on before i got it but it's now on motorex 10w50
I have only ever found 1 false neutral and that was a while back, I'm thinking that it was running around for quite a while with the push rod oil jet blocked and its damaged somthing,
I do seem to be getting better with it so I guess my technique is still changing,
