Quick release fuel connector

The fuel line on a ktm 990 superduke ,is I take it 6mm ,I purchased a quick release fuel connector off eBay for £9 the first time I put some pressure on it it snapped,seem to be made of very cheap plastic , any body know which one to get ,motor works bmw have some on eBay which look a lot more sturdy. Has any body tried these , seem some on a site in America made of brass but the postage was loads ,They all look the same on eBay but some are twice the price,,,,,,,

Comrade: My only experience is in fact with a fully faired BMW. On that particular machine it had a plastic fitting which failed whilst touring - a real PITA. I replaced it with a metal BMW fitting which apparently was common practice. My memory is that the point of failure was at the point where the tube fitted into the hose not at the quick release end itself.
