Well I been locked out of my account for some time now andfinaly got back in. So well I guess Il start up again with my current struggle. I find the gearing way to short and i find myself shifting way to much and I know the bike already has all the torque and take off it needs but it lacks top speed. What have you guys done about this if anything as far as front sprocket and rear sprocket??up teeth down teeth?? Imcurrious to hear from those who have already done this?? ((Yeah I know its probably already posted in here somplace))

And wher did you guys purchase your sprockets and chains? I usualy go thru SUPERSPROXS USA, but no luck.

Kinda where you are right now, but....

I have an 05 and changed the front for a 16t, and no it lacks a bit of 'shove' so will be changi g rear sprocket to a 40, to increase fun level. However, neither of these will increase top speed, and i find that anything over 90/100 isnt that much fun, due to windblast, so prefer the mid range myself.

Not sure if this helps at all?

It would be a good start to tell us what gears you have fitted to your bike
For now just add one tooth to your front gear and try that.

Sprocketcenter.com always has what I need. Not sure if that's true for the 1290 though.
