My rear brake light isn't working. I see the lights but when I hit the front brake lever or the rear brake lever I don't see the tail light get brighter.

Thoughts?

Cheers,

Ken

Check your tail light connections, could have vibrated loose. Also check your brake switch, could have gone bad.

UPDATE: I installed ASV levers and I thought that everything was fine. All this seems to have happened in the last few rides. The connections under the seat seem tight.

When I apply the front brake the small switch doesn't always turn the rear light on. I poked it with my finger and it seems to work. So maybe the front brake switch is starting to go bad and it was sticking.....

When I get the front brake switch to work...If I apply the rear brake nothing happens. So I think that I have a bad rear brake switch and a going front brake switch. It seems strange as I check the operation of the blinkers and tail lights almost every ride.

Odd.

Make sure you have your ASV lever mounted correctly. I tightened something down too much, forgot what it was and it was depressing the switch, thus the tail light would be on/brake all the time. At first I thought the tail light wasn't lighting up when I hit the brake, but it was on the entire time. Maybe this is why your rear brake isn't working, or seem to be working???
