Alright gents.
Of the small winter tasks i have on the Superduke, one is to swap off the rear spring due to it being corroded and the replacement is nice and clean.
Any tips/tricks i need to know for both removing the shock and the spring ?

I have a shock spanner but its not that great as you cant get a good grip while on the bike and cant get the purchase unless both upper and lower mounts are locked into place on a bench.
I use a blunt flat bladed screwdriver, hammer the ring round a few times while shock is on the bike till loose, then remove the shock.
Then take spring off, replace spring, put the ring on and tighten up, put back in the bike then use the screwdriver and hammer to spin the compression washer back down again to the desired compression.
Im sure there is a less subtle way but its tried and tested
