Hello, maybe someone can answer my question. I have finally decided to pull the trigger and get my suspension setup for my 260lbs... I only really see race tech online to calculate spring rates for my weight. Anyway, their site doesn't show any other year for the SD than 2008. I ride an 07 and was wondering if I can just order the 08 spring for my weight (suggestions anyone?h and swap then without issue? I'm hoping this is just a dumb question. If anyone can shed some light on this issue I'd appreciate it.

1100 lbs spring for the rear is what you need.
Here are the links
1.1kg for the front Racetech or someone else.

1100 Lbs/in. ain't gonna be enough if you're 260 w/o gear ... not even close ...
I have some custom-wound 1.1 front springs that are drop in - won't require fork modification or spacers to use. They were used for about a month. RaceTech's SD springs are not a straight-up install for SDs. PM me if interested.

Well, now I'm confused...According to racetech's calculator I need a 18.75kg/mm spring. The one recommended to me by kowekiller is 1100lb/in. I did the converstion here, http://hraefn.net/projects/spring_rates.php, and it works out to be 19.64kg/mm. So thats actually firmer then recommended by racetech and I figured would be the best fit for me once I include gear. I actually ordered the 1100lb/in spring from performance shock this morning for what I thought was a great price. It was something like 60+ shipping. That's half of what racetech was asking. So I guess, what am I missing? Suspension is a complete black art to me. I'm sure whatever I get will be better than stock, just don't want to spend time, effort and money in vain. Thoughts?

I assume this is a street used bike ? Any track ? SDNerd is correct about the front springs not being a drop in from Racetech. Either buy his or you have to have someone machine down some parts on the inside of your forks. Rear spring at 1100lbs should get you real close. Its gonna be a hell ofalot firmer than stock. If its street and occasional track i would stick with 1100lbs. If mostly track go for something a little firmer.
