Hey fellas! Swapped out my rear sprocket yesterday, and I'm noticing that the large aluminium nut that holds the rear hub shaft in place still has about 3 threads left----can't remember if it went all the way thru before i took her apart. Is this normal, or am i missing something? Thanks all!

Mine is flush but I've replaced the stock chain adj blocks with some from SM Engineering. Could have been protruding by that much when stock. Sure someone will chime in.

mines all stock and shows barely 1/2 of a thread sticking out past the nut, sounds like something isnt sitting flush in your setup??

I'm guessing that you need to flip the block 180deg to the side that is thinner... How many teeth did you add?

Hmmm----by the block i think u mean the adjuster blocks to adjust chain tension-----did that------I went from stock 38 to 41, she still feels like i could use one more tooth. Still seems to make a little more engine racket like the gearing is still a tad too tall. I've looked her over good, and there's really no area to make a mistake at reassembly, and she runs out nice, but those 3 threads showing just didnt seem right.

just to clarify, as i am doing mine right now, Yes, to use your stock chain you need to flip the adjustment blocks so that the tab that the adjustment screw buts up against is facing the rear. But also, the one under the nut is countersunk on one side, if this counter sink is facing the nut then all is good, if it is facing the swing arm then the nut will not thread on as far.

I second that, the adjuster block on the nut side has a small counterbore/recess for the nut to sit in. If that is around the wrong way you will not have enough threads to extend through the nut completely.
