I have Rizoma fat bars and risers off my zed 1000 and I'm happy to read that they fit the superduke. Do they need drilling for the securing pin to fit into?

Could drill but think most on here, including me, just filed off plastic pin on switchgear - I wrapped bar with black insulation tape to help switchgear clamp tight and resist rotation.

That's what I did too.

The first set of fat bars I got I did drill the hole but it's hard to get it in exactly the right angle and then you end up enlarging it and then start to think about how you've just weakened the bar that you just bought because it's strong.

File the pin off and a dd bit of insulation to enable a tight fit.

Are the rizoma fat bars better than the standard bars? They improved the zed but the standard duke bars seem well set up.

Two of those pictures above are my bike in different guises.

After many years of playing with different bars for different uses I've eventually reverted to the Rizoma bars because they are a perfect balance between forward biased riding for tracks and comfy riding for long distances. I did like the LSL drag bars for their more aggressive ergonomics but i did need to cut them down because I found them too wide as standard.

I've also spent a few years with clip-ons fitted which was interesting.
