Good even all, and hello
Firstly this forum has been grate over the last month for mods and how to section also the search function has became my good friend for a while but not this time.
My problem is with my 2012 SDR 990.
Last week I fitted a set of GPR slip ons with dB reducers removed, K n N air filer in standard housing (not sure what aftermarket air box to go for yet), the SAS has also been blocked off and valve, components removed with bridging resistor in connector, O2 sensors are still connected for now but I do have the resistor bridges for the connectors for later, Gear/throttle limiter still left as standard for now.
I downloaded the tune ecu and i already had a obd2 cable from my mechanic days, finally got everything fitted and got tune ecu to read the current map
the map was the standard map for the 2012 SDR KM611EU1112001Map
This was saved with a big do not adjust next to it.
I now downloaded a map from the tech section which I though would be a good starting point and loaded this in 10_EU_SDR_Akra_map_Smoothened
after i loaded this is i did an idle reset after reading about this on here. Done this from stone cold one morning and the bike ran rough at idle and as it warmed up it got worse hunting between 2k and 1k some times it stalled,, but as some of the posts say just restart and should keep the reset working. Competed the 15mins with no improvement.
Moved on to check the famous BGC but no moisture was found, so i blasted it out with air line anyway and put some elecy grease inside and reconnected it.
still no improvement,, I moved on to check TPS voltages after reading some more on here
So when engine is cold 12c and the TPS reads 0.78v throttle closed and 3.75v fully open
when the engine is up to operating temp the TPS read 0.68v closed and 3.75 fully open
these TPS readings are the same regardless if i use the standard map or the akra map, i have tried a couple of other maps from tune boy website but the bike idles terribly and stalls.
I have only ridden the bike on the akra smooth map and the bike runs fine just has rough idle and stalls, It also backfires badly on closed throttle (engine braking) but i think this is the graphite seal in exhaust the SAS is blocked off.
If i put it back to bog standard map the bike idles fine but after a short ride bike wont idle under 2.5k
I am just looking for some pointers on the issue all i ever wanted was a SDR with nice sounding exhaust and a remap to make it more enjoyable to ride and a bit more grunt.
Hopefully i have put this in rite section this is my first post after posting on the hello section please excuse me if there is section for this thread i have trailed the search section for a few days now but is driving me nuts now
Thanks Kyle

I think you downloaded to ECU wrong map, you shouldn't use map for SDR 2010 which is different to yours 2012 SDR.
When you go back to your standard map (modify it first - remove SAS as it is disconnected now - no need for resistors then. You can do the same with o2 sensors), do reset adaption in Tuneecu and straight after do 15min reset - follow instruction from tuneecu website.
That's what I would do anyway.

Hi MrK
Thanks for the reply I will have a play about with it and take more care with map names I just thought 10 through to 12 would have been ok I will get there in the end just keep head down, I just put plug in SAS cable to keep water out.
Thanks anyway

And TPS should be 0.6V (0.56-0.64V) with throttle closed.
Map doesn't alter TPS, adjusted manually.

Is the 2012 SDR just the standard SD engine? Memory fails me.

Hi folks
Its the parts bin make up some call it, its not the fat version and has low tail duel seat and does not have the akra kink in the exhaust header just standard KTM header. does have orange frame and R graphics also rev limit 9500rpm. Would love to have single seat conversion for it.
No47 thanks for TPS info been having a read around on the adjustment
Just a quick edit after the speak about not being R , The little wheels start to turn and i went back to think out side the box, the only thing that changed is the map. Now going into the load map section of tune ecu you all now that there is a map info box well the standard map that i retrieved when i first connected it just says KTM 990 Super duke 2011-2012 model years with standard exhaust
There's nothing there about being R and the 2 maps i have been playing with are all R so i will re try in the morning with 2012 SD maps and hears hoping it sorts its self out.
