Hello All,

Just replaced the airfilter and saw that the gasket between the SAS and the Airbox was missing. The connector just lifter out real easy. Not sure if this can do any harm? Sas might spit out some dirty air that does not go into the airbox but into open air, but is there any other negative effect on engine running? Is that connection part of any important vacuum system or so?

Thanks,
Marc

Mate get rid of that SAS stuff as soon as you can! If you have an air leak there any dirt will go straight in to the engine as the filter works from bottom to top in the original airbox.
When I got my bike new that plastic pipe bit was already broken and the first thing I did was araldite the hole close and then removed the whole SAS crap.
