Ready to order one but, after having contacting Scotts about installing one while using the handle bar risers was informed by them that a tower pin in the lenght required is not available to do so,,,I had thought I had read a member here had done it recently, with the part supplied by Scott,,,,please correct me someone if I'm wrong,,,no taller tower pin

I believe he sourced a longer tower pin, and slid the rubber bush down to acquire the height required. I think he got it from Scotts but they probably had a rethink on how it was going to be used. Personally I think that losing the risers and running taller bars would be a better idea. The rubber mounts with risers exaggerate the rubber mounting movement. The tower pin is going to be a pretty good distance away from where it is anchored. Not great for resisting the lateral force that will be applied. Ideally the damper should be mounted as close to the triple clamp as possible because of the rubber mounts.
I have an old under bar mount from a 640 adventure/Enduro that would need the tower cut down and the straight arm providing the bar mount holes and neck line up. Would be more discreet and raise the bars about 40mm. Would also have to remove the whole thing to lift the tank though...

I made one for some reason which I can't remember and can't recall having any problems. Just a length of stainless rod shoved in the lathe and a minute or two later - hey presto! Send ya missus/girlfriend to the local machine shop
