Hi Guys,
Had the SD a week now and I love it !
Only thing is that there seems to be a flat spot in the rev range in second (sometimes 1st) gear between 3-5k RPM and usually occurs whilst filtering 15-30 MPH. When I notice this happen I manage to whack some more throttle on, it stammers then the power kicks back in ? is this normal?
Also twice now I have been happily going along (Again slow speeds) and it just cuts out as if i'd just turned the ignition off, all the electronics remain on too. . . . any advice?
It's just had a full service and has Akra slip ons and possibly a BMC air filter.....
Any help is appreciated!!!

Common problem and there are ways to remedy the symptoms. Never a problem with my 06. The SDR does it cruising through the paddock but never a problem on track.
Topics to search would be TPS, syncing throttle bodies, secondary flies, O2 sensor elimnator, and some others I'm sure.

This is a common problem. Rather than looking at the complex reasons try looking at the simple reasons first. Thus:
Tip-over sensor, loose wire, bad connections (BGP), fuel ...
Then move onto the complex reasons - throttle position sensor Etc.

I'd get hold of a TuneECU cable and see which map you have loaded. The Akra map is rich as feck and you could try one of the maps here that better suited to your bike. You can switch off the O2 sensors as they don't help things. The added bonus is that you can then check throttle bodies balance, TPS volts and the like while in TuneECU. Flat spots aren't unknown on these bikes. For some it feels like a snatchy throttle. It can be sorted.

I found that the coils were not seated properly on both my bikes.
This is from qualified mechanics. They look seated but are not and under high vibration would cause flat spots or cut outs. Worth checking, but might not be the problem.
