Hi. Has anyone on here had their SD involved in a front end collision?
A few nights ago while sat waiting at traffic lights my SD was shunted by an idiot white van driver in front reversing into me, which on initial visual inspection has trashed my front mudguard and crumpled the front tyre enough to flatten the front wheel rim!!!
I'm worried that the forks and possibly the steering head bearings may also have suffered damage, such was the force of the impact, that I'd be interested to hear if anyone else on here has had a similar accident and the precise amount of damage it caused. (e.g. How likely are the forks to be damaged?)
The reason I ask is I don't want the insurers to only do the most obvious and evident repairs now, only to find further down the line additional damage comes to light caused by this collision that wasn't repaired at the same time, and which should have been.
Any help and advice would be much appreciated.
