i had my bike set up a few months ago, but it has deleloped a hole at about 5000 rpm not noticible when tooting about but on the track its a pain in the arse coming out of the hair pin, its due back on the dyno before my next track day, the only thing I can think of is I replaced exhaust seals before the run and after it popped on the overrun this has now gone, surely that wouldnt be enough to cause that, it also does,nt drop revs to quick when the bike is hot, any ideas

I know what ya mean, took of the pcv it still done it, checked the headers no signs of cracking, checked the inlet rubbers all looks good changed the fuel pump and filter for my spare, wd40 the bgc and used the grease on them, could it be the tps?

That's what some say - apart from replacing the whole throttle body assembly.........I've not had a any problem with my TPS - check it out on TuneECU - 0.60v fully closed and 3.77v ish fully open works for me.
As you know, I have had and continue to have flat spots and the like everywhere - cf my 'Intelligent ECU' thread etc - irrespective of TPS settings, map, etc and my current theory is partially gummed injector(s), particularly given my mileage, (but that would not explain the immediate improvement after loading new/same map followed by slow deterioration) so reluctant to suggest an instant solution.
Seems to me that 08 SDRs are increasing prone to problems based on threads here or is that just because there seems to be more of them on here of late.
Happy to chat through various options/non-options by phone as before but not sure about your airbox, exhausts, map, etc - presumably the good news is that it's all back together and your earlier problems are sorted (?).
I know that you too have had more than your fair share of problems but as those of us weened on British and European bikes know, you get far more back than you put in with these than Japanese prod and play bikes - Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance etc (but that was a Honda..........)

It sounds to me like it might be running lean.
Have you pulled a spark plug to have a look?
