I would say don't spend a penny on parts. Take it to Eddie as it is and let him work it out. He'll supply the shims etc and if you want he will let you source your own springs if it needs them. You might find once the oil height is reset it brings the front a bit more towards what your looking for.
Like I say. Best and cheapest bet is to take the whole bike to him, tell him exactly what its doing and what you want it to do and he'll do the sums and wave his magic wand.

Course you are right Viking.
Took my bike up to Eddies today and booked her in for Thursday. He did inform me that I shouldn't go buying bits until he's done his sums.

Hey mate.
How heavy are you? Nothing personal.
Me, I'm nudging 15 stone and have two rear shocks that i have set up by good suspension outfits. The white 175 spring is at the limits of adjustment for static sag with me fully kitted up. It was great for normal roads but for tracks was a bit soft. I got a 185 orange SDR spring off Ebay that was set up for racing in the Superduke series and it is great for tracks but to be honest is a bit hard for everyday road riding. I wish it was easier to change between the two. I think, depending on how heavy you are, that the orange spring might be too stiff for your back roads.

I'm probably near 14st fully kitted. Bike has a 180/185 orange spring fitted OE. Bike would be fine for track. (But I don't do track.)
Will see how things go on Thursday.
