I'm gonna install some R&G sliders on my SDR and was wondering if you really need upper and lower. If you were to do just one, which one?

Thanks!

If I had to choose one, I put the upper ones.

Ive just crashed mine and the top took 80% of the damage. All the lowers did was take a small amount of grinding and then bent.

Both...as they were designed to slide on both keeping most other bits away from the ground (Hopefully)

They are cheap to put on. Just do both. Also get the GB Racing engine covers.

If you are tracking it and really want to make sure you can slide a long way without damaging any of the bike you need both plus the front and rear axle sliders. But the exhaust silencers will still get damaged - there are some type of protection for this - from R&G I think, (but it doesn't look so good). If you have fixed rear set footrests these will also take a bit of a bashing and it's common for the them to bend the frame lugs a bit. If this happens don't worry as they straighten out again without snapping off.
