Just balanced my TB's & put the RC8 stack's in, running a DNA filter with standard airbox atm, while the tanks up, is it better to remove the snorkle or leave it on? Gonna put a extra filter in the airbox lid when i get time/filter sorted

now that a lot of us have updated our air filters i.e. got rid of the box, I'm thinking there was a point to the snorkel ir it points backwards, i.e. no water ingress. thoughts ??? (sorry if its been covered, but the amount of info on air box search)

The standard airbox is a throwback from the SD's "donner" bike, ie. the Adventure.

So yes, you are right about the function of the snorkel, but the purpose of it is effectively defunct on the SD as it's not designed to ride through fords/rivers like the adventure, hence the design of the airbox/snorkel.
