Hi Guys,

I bought an 08 sdr with broken valve. Fixed it. But didn't run that smooth. A few km's I had an boiling (new)battery-> ignition module was dead, I changed that. Bike runs great now

Now I have the problem that above 6000rpm the speedo shows that im riding, in neutral it is shows like 16, 8, 20 etc.. when im riding like 140kmh it pops to 210 and back to 140 etc..

The bike has no fault codes and the voltage on the battery is +-14V when running

Broken valve? Do you mean dropped valve? That's only happened three times on this forum, two of those being with my first '08 SDR.

What do you mean by ignition module?

Re dodgy clock display and given that it appears to be two issues, I'd first check the pins in the connector at the back of the speedo unit. Then check gear position indicator switch and connector, and the speedo sensor down on lhs of front wheel and connector.

Yes comrade as 47 says. Also the connectors within the headlight shell.
