New owner of 2007 Superduke. Bike has 24k miles. I just changed the tyres, sprockets and chain. However, the bike is making a strange sound during on and off throttle. It sounds like an "eeeeekkkkk" noise. This noise is less pre eland when warm. It appears to be coming near or below the throttle area while I am riding. It is not the chain. Is this the noise prior to the water pump going bad? Any help will be great. Bike is running fine and water level in the tank is at the same level over the last 200 miles. Oil was not discolored during drain process.

Comrade: Chain noise often sounds as thought is coming from the front when riding. What does it sound like if the bike is just on the side stand at rest? Do you have a way to raise the rear wheel and CAREFULLY put the bike in gear? Sound still there all the time?

Water pump can sound like that but eliminate the simple possibilities first.
