Superduke hypochondriac. (Engine sound)

So my bike has been sitting for 6 months. Before that I did the valves, and they were all in spec so I left it alone. In the mean time I've been riding a Yamaha with the enthusiasm of a Honda Civic.

Is this sound normal? The exhaust gets quieter since I'm covering the can with my hand to muffle it. But there is a tapping from the engine and I want to make sure it's not something serious.

Maybe I've been riding the sewing machine too long.

Could be just a sticking/weak cam tensioner.

Only on my phone at the moment but it's under the Allen headed cap at the end of the short casing stub, rhs front of rear cylinder in the last frame of your video - search here for Klinck's cam chain how to - manual gives you specified dimns.

Is it still making the same noise once you pull the clutch in? Could it be that the exhaust gasket is burnt out?

I have a SD and a EXC, both of them chatter like mo fookers. It's KTM's way. Both of them are in tip top shape.
