Hi guys

I've managed to get myself through the pain of lifting and replacing the tank with full credit going to my trusty SD.net comrades - honest to god the top mounting point was further out of alignment than any of the pictures I've seen here.

However, during the process of doing this I came across a hose mounting point at the base of the tank which had no hose.... wassat I thought! I wondered if I had inadvertently disconnected something during my tank wrangling - however, there is no hose anywhere in the area which is disconnected.

Any ideas? Many thanks!

Mine hasn't got a pipe either. Doesn't need a pipe. And parts manual doesn't list a pipe for this connection either.

I think it is a breather for the tank, if you lift the tank with a full load it will leak fuel.

Its for the can in the arse on US spec bikes.

Don't worry about it, it might leak a bit if you raise the tank whilst its full, but I believe thats the only time it will.
