Another target fixation I had that really caught me off guard was a dirt bike ride through a mountian range that caught fire and burnt the bark off which left the trees almost white. As I rode past the trees I got this light / dark flashing sequence, like a strobe. Almost e-nuf to make you upchuck. You can almost get the sensation if you fan your hands with open fingers back and forth in front of you. One hand moving the opposite of the other. There is a guy on this site who experenced the same thing with the bare trees on the east coast, maybe Canada or Vermont, the Norton guy.
