Throttle and blinker problems????

Hey guys,

I picked up an '07 duke in the fall that had been sitting for a year without running. A mouse had gotten in the air box and eaten all of the wires to the injectors and everything and the harness was repaired and the bike seemed to run beautifully. Today though I am having some strange issues with it.

Anytime I try to go above 3500 or 4000 RPM, the throttle seems to be cutting out like its in limp mode or like there's a governor on it. It doesn't matter what speed I'm going but it seems dependent on the engine speed. Below that the bike runs and starts fine. I replaced all of the fuel in the tank thinking it might be bad fuel and also cleaned the fuel filter in the fuel pump.

The blinkers are also sporadically blinking very fast when the engine RPM's are high on a downshift coming into a corner.

Both of these problems come and go too so I think it may be something loose but I'm really not sure. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Sounds like your regulator/ rectifier. Check all the connections. Very common failure on any ktm.
