hi all,
finally got my licence back and went for a blast on the roads last weekend after around 3 months of no riding.
while i wasnt riding i had put the smoothed akra map from the tuneecu thread and so this was my first ride with the remap. everything seemed good until i noticed a slight hesitation from the throttle, only intermittently.
i was firing down a straight in 5th gear about 8500rpm, quick dab on the brakes then had to drop down to 4th at about 7000rpm and roll the gas back on for a left hand downhill sweeper. when i went to roll the gas on the bike just didnt respond for about half a second then just accelerated off. it surprised me a bit because when the power came back on it hit in a big way.
It was a similar feeling to the fuel surge you get when you brake hard with a low fuel level, but i had just filled up 30km beforehand.
it did this probably about 4 or 5 times on the ride, it seemed quite random like it wasnt just because you broke hard or anything.
fuel consumption with the smoothed akra map was not very good though, not sure if because i was riding it fairly hard but i got around 12L/100km.
what are peoples thoughts? i cant ride the bike at the moment because the rear tyre is worn out but i will put the previous map back in and if it still does it, its probably a fuel issue. maybe i got a shit batch of fuel...

Could be a fuel filter thing, especially after the bike stood still for some period. You could try some injector cleaner before you mess with the tank itself.

How many ks has it done?
Sounds to me like the warning signs of fuel filter repalcement.

Ok have you inspected the BGC?
It can get moisture in it and cause problems.
